Champagne-Ardenne is a region with a strong historical and craft heritage. Reims, capital of the region, is particularly famous for its Cathedral and it’s Palace which saw many coronations of the Kings of France. Kings were crowned there for over 1 000 years. Of course, Reims owes also its fame to champagne, as the city is the headquarters of many of the largest champagne houses. Reims Cathedral, the Palais du Tau, the Abbey and the Basilica of Saint-Remi are all classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.
